I'm Currently Feeling:  | I heard the heartbeat!
Okay, so I rented a doppler from babybeats.com about a week ago. I read that it is possible to hear the heartbeat on a doppler at 8 weeks, though from what I've read, it's much more likely at 10-12 weeks. BUT because I am impatient, I began trying the day I started my 8th week -- five days ago.
And for the first four days, I didn't really hear anything... well, anything but my own pulse and some indeterminate wooshing sounds. But yesterday afternoon I was listening as usual, contemplating whether or not to start dinner, and I HEARD THE HEARTBEAT!!!!  It was completely unmistakable, like nothing I had heard before while using the doppler.
I figure I must've caught the bean turning, because it started off faint and then got louder, just this rapid-fire pulsing, like me if I'd been running (but smaller in sound) -- but when I checked again an hour later, I couldn't find it. But I am seriously giddy right now, it was the coolest thing!
Mostly I'm just shocked that I heard a heartbeat at 8 1/2 weeks on the doppler. Anyone else had an early doppler heartbeat? |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Aww that must have been amazing! I keep checking but so far I've only found my own pulse. I'm tall & I'm not exactly skinny.. so I think there might be more room for my baby to hide. I probably won't hear the heartbeat until at least 12 weeks. I'm Currently Feeling:  | Its so cool tho genrally my OH finds it not me, i didnt get my doppler till 12 weeks tho so not that early, but i like to hear it once a day just to make sure its still there ha ha ha!! |
