Useless GP


I went to GP today who was nice but useless, basically said congrats now go home & phone up for a midwife appt at 8 weeks- great!

This is quite normal unless you have a history of complications!

I think that's fairly standard at most initial GP appointments. They're never that interested until you're around 8 weeks and by that time your care is generally in the hands of the midwife anyway. Hopefully they at least answered any questions you had etc?

HUn i have had 3 losses this is all I got!

Not much else they can do tbh

Sorry to hear that. My GP was actually very good. At my first appointment she went through all the vitamins i should be taking, foods that i should and shouldn't eat. Excercise and answered any questions I had. She also sent in my referral to an OB that day and I was only 4 weeks. Unfortunatly alll of the OB's are totally booked so I won't get to see her until June 2nd. My GP will be taking care of my preganancy until then.

Thats all my doctor said. The midwife will go through everything with you. You dont really see the doctor for pregnancy inless you are ill
