Hey! I had two days of brown discharge when I was 5 and a half weeks, and everything has been fine since then (I'm 8 weeks now!). Don't worry too much

hi this is very strange cause im also 6 weeks and experiencing this.... mine started after a bowel movement 2 days ago (not sure if that had anything to do with it) and lasted a few hrs, pink/brown discharge... then again last night after another bowel movement, this morning i also had brown/pink coloured discharg again, and skidmark type marks at the front of my knickers... so not sure, not tummy pains though, well nothing out of the norm... my doc said it was prob caused with straining to make a bowel movement, which i dont know if i did or not tbh... something about tiny blood vessels on your cervix wich can burst when straining or after sex... when i first wiped there was tiny speckles of bright red blood on the tissue so im sure this is what has happened... i hope so anyway... fingers crossed for you both xx

if you have brown discharge or pick discharge then you should alwasy mention this to your doctor. Most of the time this seems to be ok and quite common in pregnancy. But occasional it can be a sign that something isnt right. I dont want to be doom and gloom and mainly brown in colour is old blood. I have 2 experinces with brown dioscharge, my 1st i lost and this time it turned out to be nothing.

I'd just sent you a message to see how you got on. I hope you find out more on the next scan. It could be nothing to worry about. Did the sonographer seem concerned?
