I'm Currently Feeling:

I saw my own midwife when i was 10 weeks, but i had a bleed at 6 weeks, and saw doc had a scan.etc. Ithink it really depends where you live, each area is different.
I actually still think it is strange that early in pregnancy you barely see anyone, even though this is the time when you are most unsure, and worried about things, particularly in a 1st pregnancy.
Thank heavens for babyand bump, thats what i say!!

I remember when I first found out I was pregnant and went to the doctors to tell them and he looked at me and said "well done dear".. and that was it.. lol

I first met a midwife when I was 12 weeks for my proper booking appointment at the hospital, it was a couple of days before my first scan...

I made a doctors appointment as soon as I found out & saw him at 5 weeks.. & he just said "well you're not very far along so just wait a few weeks & make an appointment at the antenatal clinic".. so at about 7 weeks I went there & made an appointment to see a midwife. I saw her at 8 weeks but my first 'proper' appointment (where she'll take bloods, do blood pressure etc) isn't until 11 weeks.
