earliest you saw hb?

as title says..

i had a scan last weds wen i was due to be 5 weeks plus 2 by lmp and have another one this weds at 6wks+2

but as i have a lpd its hard to say how far i am i thin i ovulated 2 days late so think i will be 6 weeks exactly on weds...

so im unsure if i will see hb on weds scan... i dont want to get worked up if its too early...

I had a scan last week at 7+1 n saw the heartbeat really made my day.

i went in at 6+2 couldnt see a thing only the sac and the lady did internal so i was soo scared but then got another u/s 7 weeks and there was baby and heartbeat and that was just an abdomen one. So try not to worry hun if it dont come up straight away

6 weeks 4 days i saw it, but its common not to see anything at this stage

It is possible you might hear it but probably about a couple of days early.

I saw the baby's heartbeat at 6 weeks to the day. With the abdominal scan - she only say the sac and with the internal scan she saw the sac and a little flash in the top corner! You really couldn't make out the baby it was so tiny (approx. 2 mm) but it was a little flashing light! She had to take her time and look - she almost missed it so don't worry if they don't see it straight away!

It all depends on the quality of the scan equipment and the experience/skill of the one doing the scan.

With Otter I saw the hb at 6w +1... it was pretty obvious, but still slow (75 bpm).

With Meerkat we saw the very first signs of a hb... not even a full hb yet, but just the beginning of the wave of one... at 5w +2. But that was only because my OB is super good and experienced at scans. I am still amazed that he found it and pointed it out! My next scan was at 9w +1 and we saw the hb right away with no problems (and baby moving its arms and legs!)
