Hugs hun,can only ehco what the others have said,just stay focused & positive and try not to stress or worry too much which is easier said than done. Wonder why they did'nt give you an internal scan?

Honey, if they saw a flicker of a heartbeat, I don't think it's a blighted ovum. Give bub some time to grow! I'm sure bub's is fine!

Hey hun - I completely sympathise with you and know how it feels..... I went for a scan thinking I was 6+3 and all that could be seen was an empty sac, and they also dated me betweed 4-5weeks. I've now got the horrible 2 week wait to find out if I got my dates wrong, or if there is a problem.

I am sure waiting a week for your next scan feels like an eternity...but I think your doctor might have the right idea. My doctor had me going in every few days for a scan based on the "lack of development" at 5 week. At one point, the doctor said I only had a .01 percent change of a viable pregnancy and recommended that I abort immediately due to the risk of an ectopic pregnancy. But, after my fifth scan (8 days from the 5 week scan), there was a little heartbeat. . . much to the doctor's surprise.

I've been relaxing and I'm not going to ask for another scan till I see my dr on the 12th. I'm sure everything is fine and I very well could have got my dates wrong...

I know it's so so hard but try not to worry. I had a scan at exactly 6 weeks (dated from first day of last period) and the sonographer told me I was actually more like 5 weeks and there was only the sac visible. I had a scan three weeks later and sure enough my own little embryo was visible. I hope you can get some comfort from the forum and others' experiences.

You may just be a little earlier on in the pregnancy than you thought. Try not to worry hun, i know easier said than done! x
