I had my first scan done when I thought I was 6w 3d. Turned out I was just shy of 6 wks (so 5+5) and they were able to see a heartbeat (just a flicker on the screen) I had my 2nd scan done at 7w1d gestation and they were able to count bpm. Hope that helps!

Guess I'll have to wait for my first scan ... at 13 weeks.

mm.. I had a pretty late 'early scan', mine was done at about 11 weeks, there was a definite heartbeat there.. I know the heart starts beating around 4 weeks, but sometimes it's hard to tell for sure with an ultrasound because their hearts + selves are so tiny at that point.

Mine was transvaginal. I drank too much water and all they could see was my bladder via the tummy scan!!!

I had an internal scan at 5w7d and they could see a heart beat, and again at 7w5d on the tummy

im due mine on mon after 3 early misses and will be 6+4. Told to go with full bladder and could be internal. Is this painful? Any risk this could cause me to bleed? Do they let you have a photo as my husband wont be able to come so friend is instead. Sorry for all questions just a bit apprehensive x

So I should see a heartbeat at my scan I'll be 7weeks + 5 days

with my youngest little one I had a scan at 5 +4 days and didnt see a heartbeat but was scanned at 6 + 1 day and saw the heartbeat very clearly

I had a scan on Thurs as have been bleeding heavily for past week. My baby was 2mm and you could see the heartbeat. This was a normal scan through my tummy and she estimated i'm about 4 to 5 weeks. x
