I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm not really sure how it works where you live but I would advise you to get those forms filled out quickly. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think it takes 2 weeks, they have to process the forms, find an available slot to fit you in, send you a letter and allow enough time for you to get the letter and
My scan is at 13 weeks (my OH couldn't make the one a week eariler) and they were a bit shirty with me if I needed it any later because there are some tests they can only do within a certain time frame. And its importment for the dating part of the scan, as babys develop the same up till 13 weeks then they vary a lot so they need to measure the baby before you reach the second trimester ideally. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My midwife said she would contact the hospital to book me in for one and I then had a letter through the post a couple of days later and the scan was a week after that. I was 13+5 when I had mine but I know down here if you go over 14 weeks they generally make you wait until the 20 week scan but then your dates might not be very accurate

I'm Currently Feeling: | My midwife organised mine for me also, it arrived in the post about a week later or so later. Mine will be when im supposdly 15 weeks, but going by early scan it'll be 12 weeks, so not knowing untill scan confirms my actual dates! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I would definately send in your form asap. My hospital was so overbooked that I didn't get my '12 week scan' until I was 14 weeks and 3 days. In fact, I was so fed up waiting that I had gone for an earlier private scan as the NHS couldn't tell me until 2 days before the appointment when I was getting one.
If you find that you cannot get one for a long time, depending on your area, private early scans around £60 - £100. Mine was £95 in Edinburgh. |
