Doc says hcg levels low...am I mad?

Hi girls well you know my story and how paranoid I am.
I got my hcg results other day as some of you know and they were at 2002 at 4weeks 3 days which I thought was pretty good?
Anyway, saw the gynae today and he was a bit negative saying ''hmm, they're a bit low...'

LOW?! I thought they were good! In the little form I have from the hospital it says they can be between 100 to 50,000 from 4 weeks to 8 weeks so how can 2002 be low?!

Now, I do really like this doc but he is a little old fashioned and doesn't really 'do' the hcg thing, folic acid thing even. he's very 'old school' - I just wondered if ,maybe he read it wrong or do I have ANOTHER reason to panic?

I've booked an early scan for in ten days time so hoping that will let me know for sure but do you girls just think my doc's mad??

XXX

I'm 8 weeks preg and i had my midwife today. She told me that a good sign at 8 weeks was to be above 1000. So you being 2002 at 5 weeks is a good sign I'd say.

I was 2640 at 5 weeks - yours sound totally fine.

HCG levels shouldnt be used on their own anyway. My sisters were very low AND they didnt double and she had a healthy pregnancy and baby!!!

I think perhaps he just read it wrong..? He's very old fashioned and was a bit arsey that I got preg so early... so i think it was more about ''his feelings'' on the matter than the real truth!
Thanks and sorry to sound so insane!x
