how long after your bfp did you visit your gp?

hi ladies,Im sneaking my head round the door

I got my bfp yesterday and wondering when I should make appointment to visit the GP?When did you go?xx

Edit: I was given the midwife details and contacted her this morning, most like you to contact soon a possible really so they can plan your care better

i was 5 weeks pg when I went to see the gp. the sooner the better i say - get the ball rolling!

I went a couple days later. MY GP told me to book an appointment with the midwife asap, which i did. I went to her at 5+2 & she told me it was to early to see her & make an appointment when i'm round 8 weeks. My appointments not till 22nd so i'll be 9+2 then. So it was pretty pointless going to my GP so early - he basically said he doesnt deal with pregnancies, thats the midwifes job & if i do happen to see him much it'll be because somethings wrong!

I went when I knew- 5 weeks. I never heard anything from my midwifes though so I chased them and booked a scan and appointment etc at 11 weeks!

I got my bfp on monday 18 Feb and visted the gp to confirm on the friday 22 Feb x

where im at here in the States they dont see you until you are 10 weeks or so... buy my dr is going to be on vacation so im seeing her at 9 weeks... on march 3rd!!

Got a very faint BFP on the Thursday (6 more tests over the weekend lol) and went to see him on tuesday I was 5 weeks then. He said for me to book in with the midwife when I got my blood test results back, luckily I ignored him and booked in straight away (7 tests can't be that wrong and the hospital one came back inconclusive so had to wait a week in total for the official result) because there was a 3 week waiting list so got to see her at 8 weeks which was ideal.

Mine saw me at 7w6d. Usually they won't see you before 6 weeks. Some countries not before 12 weeks. It mainly depends on your location and how your doctor's office is run. I live in the US by the way.
