Is it normal to feel so tired?

I am exhausted, I got home from work early yesterday and slept from 4pm-8pm, then 10pm-7am, then today I fell asleep for another couple of hours. I'm struggling to do anything at the moment. I really should get housework done but all I want to do is go back to bed and sleep. I'm getting lots of activity (stretching pains) from down there - anything to do with that? All I want to do is it doesn't feel normal.

I know exactly how you feel. Tiredness has been my main pregnancy symptom - I've had nausea but no MS. For the last two weeks in particular I have felt like I have the worse jet-lag I have ever had. Everything feels like an effort - even brushing my hair. I could quite easily sleep all day and all night if I could get comfortable! I would usually go to bed about 11.30/12 but if I make it passed 9.30 at the moment it's a miracle. I had my MW appointment yesterday and she said it was perfectly normal to feel exhausted, she just said pregnancy effects different women in different ways. The other problem I've had is that I am permanently freezing cold, I know it's cold anyway at the moment but I'm sat here with a dress, roll neck top, leggings and a thick cardigan and I'm still freezing! I also asked about cramps as I've had a lot this week (we are at the same stage) the MW said cramps are really common at this stage as the uterus is going through a massive growth spurt.

Hope this helps x

Thank you MrsJ08. It helps to know I'm not the only one - what you're going through sounds very similar I just feel so fragile!

What your MW says reassures me - my tummy does feel as though theres lots of stretching going on. I just didn't know stretching could be soooo tiring!

I get MS every morning and that seems to wipe me out for the rest of the day z z z z z z z z

I've been really cold too over the last week or so. I'm having to wear two tops at night to stay warm! It doesn't help that my house is really cold too!

I am ALWAYS tired *LOL*

I felt tired a lot in first tri....it went away for awhile, but now it's back with a vengeance! I can barely make it through a full-time work day without wanting a nap.

Hahaa! I'm exactly the same. Went to work the other day and all I could think about was getting back to my bed. Was out for the count by 7pm and STILL slept in for work the next morning!
