I'm not sure what AFS is but FAS is Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. You can google it if you wish because I'm not going to be the one to describe what can happen.

I wouldn't be too concerned though. I drank a nice bit before I found out too, and my doctor said that it'll be fine. I know a girl who drank, smoked, and did weed throughout both of her pregnancies and her babies turned out just fine.

I think as long as you aren't chugging back a flask of vodka every single day of your pregnancy, you're probably okay.

But you've stopped now and that is all you can to do!!! You made a responsible decision and I am sure you will be rewarded with a healthy baby for it

Talk to your doctor though if you have any more concerns.

I hope so,
Cause I dont really want my baby to be punished,
With something wrong,
Because I was drinking so much

Toria's right that any damage you do to the cells before 8 weeks will fix themselves just fine, but think of the people who have smoked crack, shot heroin and such through their pregnancies and their babies turned out just fine? The human body is the strongest thing on the planet. I'm pretty sure out of whatever you eat/drink, the baby strips the nutrients off of it and takes that, and only takes some of the bad ingredients, leaving the most for your body to have. I wouldn't worry seeing as you're only 11 weeks pregnant, if you were like 20 or 30 that would be more concerning. Have a chat with your doctor if you feel worried to ease your mind though.

Hello!

Really hope everything goes well for you. Just wanted to point out that until 8 weeks or so the baby's placenta isn't fully formed so it doesn't recieve your blood (and the alcohol within) so hopefully any effects will have been minimal.
