do i need a full bladder for my scan at 13 weeks?

Hi ladies hope everyone is well in 1st tri....well i have my first scan on thursday i will be 13 weeks by my dates any way im soooo excited ...but have a question i forgot to ask my midwife if im suppose to have a full bladder???i cant remember off last time so your input would be great thanks xx

Yep full bladder is needed

Yes hun, makes it easier to get a good look at bubs. Makes me feel like i'm going to go there and then though when she is pushing down on my tummy! lol. Good luck for your scan xxx

at my 12 week scan she said my bladder was too full!!

so she asked me to empty it 'a bit', which i did, omg, it was hard tho cos i was peeing my pants he he he.

it was still somehow too full so she said don't worry just go and empty it. ahh the relief he he he.

after all that it was ok and she was able to measure baby and everything.

then she handed me a sample bottle

i said seiously, couldn't you have give me this before he he he

so moral of the story, full bladder but not too full hehe

haha i find it amazing when they ask you for a sample i feel i have no more to give cos it seem they always want 3 or 4 off me at one time cos i seem to always have sugar in water!!! but i always seem to manage .... they always tell me a pregnant woman can always pee haha
