It's not even with my Dr. It's with Nursezilla who told me I had no right to test early, basically calling me stupid and refused to give me a beta. Every time I think about my appointment, the more I don't want to go and the more angry I get. This is my TENTH pregnancy which hopefully will result in my 6 child. I am not one of my stupid sisters that got pregnant on accident by sleeping around. We have been trying to get pregnant for 2.5 years and this stupid nurse is speaking to me like I have no clue what I'm talking about. I was on a medication to get pregnant but is dangerous in pregnancy, that's why I tested early, I don't want to harm my baby. Not testing early makes me feel irresponsible but Nurse Stupid spoke to me like I was being irresponsible by testing early and not staying on the medication.

I went and got a beta done with my GP who I would rather see for my prenatal care but since I am a repeat c-section, I can't. They don't handle c-section cases. My GP confirmed my pregnancy already, so why should I go to the appointment tomorrow with Nurse Stupid?!? She won't run labs on me, she will just have me pee in a cup, tell me I'm pregnant, tell me what I can and cannot do and that's it. I get stuck with a bill, and then I have to deal with the insurance company. Then with Nurse Stupid's permission am I allowed to make an appointment with my Dr for an actual prenatal visit and an ultrasound.

I know I need to go to the appointment regardless on how I feel, just to get permission (feel like I'm 5 years old asking for permission!) to see my Dr. I already have prenatals, the pregnancy book, and all that.

I just needed to vent because it's been ticking me off all day and if I offended anyone, sorry.

I just don't see how this appointment is beneficial to me at all. Just another way to get money from us.

Fortunately I am in the UK so we don't have to go through this, but I can see why you need to vent. I would be furious! I think you are responsible for testing early because you are already thinking of your baby. What a total waste, and not only that but it's causing you stress you don't need. Would it not be better to go to the ER and ask for the bloods to be done there thus skipping the nurse? (sorry I don't really know how it works there). I hope it goes ok for you anyway.

Im from the UK so we get free health care but if i had to pay for the service i would expect good service and not have some people making me feel bad.. it must be very easy for them to charge you for things you dont need, and would frustrate me too... hope you sort it out soon. xx
