Any tips on how to get some energy?

Hi. I feel so drained all the time, I can't seem to do anything! I'm trying to eat healthily (plenty of fruit and veg). After a meal I just seem to slump and I can't even keep up with the housework, let alone anything else. I've not had any sickness, so eating isn't a problem, so it's not lack of food! I keep falling asleep in the day time.

Any suggestions how I can get some "oomph!"?

Also, I've developed really bad acne, like cysts all over my neck and sides of my face and chest. I know it's hormonal, but am I likely to have it throughout the whole pregnancy? I look hideous!

Thanks

Rikki, if you're eating properly and all seems to be well, then the only thing im assuming is that you might just have to rest it out!

I know, its rubbish! when all you want to do is have our normal routines etc.

The thing with being tired, is the big issue in 1st tri, our bodies ar trying to make the placenta etc, and thats the big energy drain. Usually, when the placenta has formed properly we ought to get some well deserved 'oomph' back.

Just plenty of relaxing! take it easy

Hey hun! What I found gives me a little pep is drinking Orange Juice! Seriously... its great. I also eat small amounts through the day so that my blood sugar stays up... like eating a granola bar or an apple in between meals... it really helps! OJ is the best too. Hope this helps! and dont worry it will get better I promise! I had the worst acne but now its starting to get clearer. this really depressed me as ive always had such nice skin. it definitely gets better though.

good luck hun xx

Thanks. I've been drinking orange juice as I've cut out caffeine (don't want to take any risks as had 2 mc last year). Lack of caffeine probably isn't helping my slumps!
I really hope the skin clears up - it's really awful! Maybe when the hormones settle down it will all go away
