This is really hard for me to write,so please dont judge me or my OH. A year ago I got with my OH and I went to the family planning clinic for an "MOT", ya know get screened for stds, and all came back clear. Two weeks ago (before I knew I was pg), we were in the pub, and the local clinic were doing random chlamydia screens,as part of a health drive..We both said no thanks.
I said to OH "we are k as we both been checked", at this he looked sheepish and said " Do you need to if you dont have symptoms, and only havent used protection with my ex?", at which I screamed "of course!! OH my god get tested!! Especially as we are trying for a bubba"
So he did...

Well hes away at moment with work, and rang me this morning to say hes tested positive!!!
Of course I freaked out and cried (he didnt understand the damage it can cause to baby,). I spoke to the nurse today and she said to get tested tomorrow, but be aware Im at a high risk of ectopic and miscarriage now...

Im devestated!! Im bound to have it, as its been a year, and women catch it easier than men!! All Im scared for now is my baby

Oh my gosh, how horrible of him not to get tested!! I would be absolutely LIVID with him! He lied!

I'm sure you're okay, and at least you know early so that the doctors/midwives can take good care of you. I would hash it out with OH, if it were me.

I am honestly not sure what to say but your silly OH When is he back - have you been able to tell him?

Must be out of your mind but do try to calm down and get through this as stress free as possible x

I cant contact him as he is out on a boat somewhere!!

I KNEW things were too perfect!! Now Im freaking out!!

When I mentioned that it may affect baby, he sounded genuinley gutted and tearful.. but I cant stop crying

Im going to nurse tomorrow to get some antibiotics hopefully, and to get tested, but its waiting game on whether is lose baby or have an ectopic...

Not sure how to word this but in advance meant in the best possible way (incase) but miscarriage is a risk for every pregnant woman sadly this situation is difficult because should you experience a loss (hope you do not) you will more than likely blame your OH (I would) but the problem is if all tests were fine the same may have happened! If I was you I'd more than likely blame him & its always easier to see the situation from the outside & say what I have just now though

Get the antibiotics sit back and think for a positive outcome ... then what you do hun is make that damn man of yours run around after you, pamper you, spoil you until the day you give birth

You know what..you could be at high risk...but as Wobbles said, ALL of us are at risk of a miscarriage during the first trimester. And you are probably JUST fine. Loads and loads of people have std's and they are treated and go on to carry wonderfully healthy babies.

So keep your chin up and try to take it easy. Don't worry until you need to worry, because worrying won't do the baby any good either. I know its hard but you really need to try to relax because the baby knows when you are stressed.
