Question

Due dates?

Hey there guys. I'm really quite confused about my due date and how far I'm gone etc.

I know for a fact that I concieved between the 25th and 26th of march, so going off that I'm 2 weeks and three days pregnant? but the doctor goes from the first date of my last period which is the 29th of feb, so according to her, I'm 6 weeks and a day gone? which of these do I go off? The doctor based on the 6 weeks says I'm die on the 5th of December? but I have an extremely long cycle? So I'm a bit confused. If anyone could help I would be thankful.

<3 Beedee Bump <3 and mommy

First day of last period - 29th of Feb
Date of conception - 25/26th March
How far gone?

Mine was Feb 27th and I'm 6 weeks and 2 days. You go by the first day of your last period. The first two weeks you arent actually pregnant, its just your egg releasing and stuff. They count that. So gestional age you're only like 4 weeks. But if you look up a pregnancy calander of fetal development, they go from the first day of your last period.

Yeah I just don't understand because I know my cycle length is more than 28 days, so do I go off the one that I'm 6 weeks and a day?

I'd say go by your cycle. The 28 days is only a guide!

I have no idea what m cycle length is. I never had a regular period after i came off BCP's even though I was only on them for at most 9 months before the doctor said they just wern't compatable with me.

My cycles are long (between 42-45 days) my midwife is going from the date of my last period which would make me 12 and a half weeks, but I had an early scan due to some bleeding and it showed me to be 2 weeks earlier in my pregnancy. On the babycentre website I think you can put in your ovulation date (or I've seen it somewhere?!?!) which will give you a more accurate date. I would add 2 weeks from when you know you ovulated, thats how mine worked!!! (Sorry for going on... hope it makes sense!!!)

Due date is only a guide and dating scan is more accurate, so would not obsess too much (I mean that in a nice way)
