is it safe??

Hey, i am in desperate need of getting my hair colour topped up but i have been advised by 2 people to leave it for another few weeks. Is it unsafe to get your hair coloured in the 1st trimester?? Anyone else hear this? Thanks

There's a lot of conflicting information about this. Personally I haven't had any hair coloring done (but that's mostly because I don't want to keep up with the maintenance and I don't want to have to cut the color out of my hair

) According to the information my OB gave me it is safe to have done.

I had 2 trips to the hairdressers in the 1st tri, to get highlights. The only advice I was given / warned about was that the colour doesn't always take to your hair as it normally would do - not sure why but I've since found this to be true after a really dodgy trip a few weeks ago!

As far as safety is concerned, the hairdresser wouldn't do your hair if it was dangerous for fear of being sued and my MW said it was ok so I wouldn't worry xx xx

I need to get highlights done again, im waiting until closer to the summer though. I dont have horrible roots, my hair is blond, I just get a different shade of blonde.

I've had mine coloured once early on. My colour tech said that its more about the way your hair may take the colour differently than it being a problem for bubs. My greys need doing so I'll be going again in the next 2 weeks.
