Hi all (again!)

Being the worrier that I am, I decided to do another test today using FMU on a FRER. It has been 48hrs since my last test, so I would've thought the test lines would be getting darker by now?? Anyway it seems they are the same (not fainter as far as I can tell) So, (stupid me) I decided to google it and a lot of websites say it's not a good sign and that the lines should be getting darker as the hormone should be increasing?????

My doc won't see me as I'm only 4+4 but now all I do is sit and worry!

Any opinions please?!?! (apart from the obvious - STAY AWAY FROM GOOGLE!)

defo stay away from google. tbh this can go both way unfortunately, it could be a chemical pregnancy or it could be differences in dye in the tests, were both morning urine? are both very dark or light?

ohhh im a google addict to. not the best thing to be sometimes.

I ws the same as you hun. I tested positive wayyy early at 3+2 weeks. for three days my tests satyed fairly light. it wasnt until 72 hours after the first test they satrted getting darker. the HCG doubles every 2-3 days from what i read when i was googling. Instead of looking for lines i have resulted in buying CB digi with conception indicator and testing once a week to make sure the weeks increase. so far so good. Il be testing again next tuesday to make sure its gone up to 3+ weeks.

Hope this helps, try not to worry hun. Easier said than done iknow i was TTC for 2+ years so walking on egg shells at the moment.

lauraperrysan - The test I did on 1st Feb was using the afternoon urine and this morning I used FMU..... am so totally worried now as I thought FMU was supposed to be strongest?!?!?!

Sorry to gatecrash from 3rd tri but just wanted to say- don't google!! lol!! yea the lines may get stronger but at only 4+4 they will still be pretty light. I kept testing over the weeks, and they did gradually get darker, but a took a good few weeks for that. I don't think the test line is meant to go darker than the control line though, I guess it just depends on the test. Do not worry!!! congrats on your bfp!

thanks for that info miis muffet, its put my mind at ease to a little. Im now stepping away from the tests as i still have 2 left.

Although you probably will anyways becasue i know i would

so maybe do them like, 1 in a week or 2, and then the next a week after that. BUT in saying that the type of test they are might not go darker so don't worry if the lines don't go darker please!! But if I told you not to take them i know u wouldn't listen to me coz I know what it is like to have more sitting there and knowing you are going to see that line come up. I even went and bought another box just so i could see the 2nd line come up again and again.

I feel like doing that now. Oh gawd i must be going mad!

MissMuffet - you made me giggle!!

It is so true - I really think hubby is getting fed up with me sending him for more tests "just to check"..... and google is a nightmare!!

I have 2 tests on standby, BUT, I promise I will not use them untill 10th Feb and after!!

(well, I'll try at least!)

I actually woke up feeling quite sicky this morning so I have no idea why I actually did another test -

laura6914 - I am so glad it isn't just me!

Thank you all so much - my mind has been put at ease (a little!) And someone else said to me I should be more worried if the lines start to disappear (and no, I won't be testing everyday 'just in case'!!

ha ha ha you know me allll to well.

Thats what i was going to do. One next week and another in a few weeks time. One clear blue digi as well to see the 3+ weeks pop up.

my lines have been getting darker, almost as dark as the control line now.
I am ssoooooo addicted to see thouse two lines though.

Congrates on your little girl to. Im hoping for a girl. May i as if you had any particular symptoms to indicate you were having a girl before you found out the gender? I now everyones different and you cant really guess but any clues?
