so scared of something being wrong

i no this may sound stupid. but im 5 weeks preg now and because ive had a few problems lately i went for a scan last week and the nurse said to come back in 3 weeks for a checkup and see how my pregnancy has progressed. im so scared she wont be able to find a heartbeat on the scan or she might say ive got a blighted ovum. ive read so many posts on here about the poor people who have had these terrible things happen to them and it really scares me. and i being stupid. or is it normal.
xx

I went for a scan at 6 weeks and was told to come back in 2 weeks because there was only a sac and that put me back to 4 weeks. Luckily 2 weeks later I had a little bean measuring 7+2 with a little beating heart.

I hope your scan goes well and your little bean is just fine.

Hunni its totally normal, you sound just like most of us!!
You have to remember the sheer amount of people on this forum so we are bound to read about the bad things, but if you take some time out and go read your baby books, you will see how low the odds are(this is what i do).

Im constantly paranoid, and begging for my 12th week!! You wouldnt be normal if you didnt worry about any little thing

You've got us for support hun, just try and enjoy your pregnancy (I know with all the side effects this can be hard lol)

Its totally normal hun. I was EXACTLY the same. I had an early scan and all they saw was the sac so I worried for 2 and a half weeks until I got my follow up scan at 7 weeks and they saw the HB.
You need to get used to it hun!!! I thought I'd stop worrying at 12 weeks and now I'm worried about my next scan!!
I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine poppet.

Uh huh totally normal. Also in my past experience with forums, it attracts people who have perviously had problems in the past and worriers like ourselves so the odds on here look slighty more incresed than in reality! Of course some of us on here are just chatty people with no previous problems etc but just bare that in mind I'm a BIG worrier lol

I have had 2 miscarriages and I am so nervous this time bec I dont feel lots of symptoms. I have had 1 missed miscarriage and 1 blighted ovum and now its in my head things about ectopic pregnancy.

I am so scared so if u wana talk send me an sms and we can comfort each other.
we should have faith and pray, and everything will be ok.
