Travelling in first trimester

Hiya

Does anybody know if I need to get extra cover on my travel insurance for going on holiday? Only going to spain at the end of this month, and will be about 13 weeks?? I think most airlines and stuff don't bother til your more than 26weeks?

Thanks x

Hello hun,

Im going away in 2 weeks and didnt need any extra cover on travel insurance but its prob best to check just in case.

If you have a little bump by the time you go you may need a doctors note to say you can fly. Ive had low blood pressure so far and so have needed to get one just to be on the safe side as some airlines can get a bit funny.

I was told that you just need to check your cover if you have an annual policy - they are sometimes different. That said, I have an annual and I checked mine and everything was fine!!

I was 10 weeks when I went to California. Top tips - check in online if poss so you can get a seat near the loos and get some DVT socks and drink lots of water.

The timing is great - you'll be ready to relax. I found I actually forgot about being pregnant as time and it was marvellous.

Enjoy!!!

I went to Texas when I was about 9-10 weeks along and didn't do anything for extra insurance. But my husband's insurance company covered pretty much everything (if something had happened I would have been covered).
