stomach cramps - is it normal?

Hi there,

Haven't been paranoid for a while so I guess its about time for me to pipe up!

Since saturday I've had a real upset tummy and felt awful all day, I'm only eating small amounts and often but assumed that was a symptom on its own. I've not felt sick, but then I've never been one to be sick, always more likely to have an upset tummy. Well its now Monday and I'm getting stomach crampy pains today, not too severe but uncomfortable, and it is my stomach not too far down below. No bleeding or anything like that... please tell me I'm being paranoid?? I don't know what I'd do if something went wrong this time!..

I've got my dating scan on thursday, so I know its not long to wait but has anyone else experienced this?

Kate

At the beginning I had an upset tummy of sorts. It felt like I used to feel just before I came on my period. I was so convinced all the tests would've been wrong and AF was coming at any time!

I have been having similar feelings to this, not an upset tummy but cramps across my tummy, esp at the left hand side.
I'm trying not to be too paranoid and am putting it down to stretching!

from what I can gather it is quite normal (at least I hope so) I've been getting the uncomfortable cramps for a few weeks now but put them down to stretching pains

Yep, i was getting stretching pains but not so much now. And my hips feels like they're spreading an inch a day!!! I've you've got an upset tummy then the pains are more than likely linked to that. I sometimes get quite a bad pain and then it disappears as soon as i blow off!!! you'll probably find that you get very bad wind!!

If the pain is in your stomach it could very well be gas pains. Try having a nice warm bath as it tends to alleviate some. If the pain persists, do call your doctor.
