| Should I insist that she goes to the doctor? My fiance has recently become pregnant. We have taken a standard urine test brought from the chemist. All the signs of pregnancy are there, I am right in insisting that she see's a doctor, or am I being paranoid? She says she doesn't want to see a doctor.
Please help. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | If you're in the UK then she can ring her GP surgery and ask what their procedure is. At mine I rang the day I found out and they said I didnt need to see a DR unless I particularly wanted to and they booked me to see the practice midwife.
Is there a particular reason she doesnt want to see the Dr?? |

Please help. | yeah you are completely right to say she should see a doctor because they need to confirm the pregnancy and see how far gone she is which may involve a scan to see at what stage of pregnancy she is. it is also important because then the doc can get in touch with a midwife and arrange all her scans and check ups through out her pregnancy and see how the baby is doing.
hope this helped

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have to see the doctor and have it confimed by a urine sample, have never known why but it's routine at my surgery. Then i am given a prescription for folic acid by my gp, and told to book an appointment for my booking in with midwife. |

Is there any advice you could give a "Dad to be". Are there things I shouldn't fuss over. | | | | Status: Offline
