I'm Currently Feeling: | Just wanna know now!! everyone!
So at 11weeks i had a scan done privately just 4 the reason that my OH and little boy could be there too as my NHS one got moved and he couldn't come.
So when we went to the scan because the baby was so still she flicked it on to 4D for us so we could see little babes that way, it was really amazing and we got a great DVD and pics (i dunno how to get them on or i'd put them on!!!)
Anyway the whole way through the scan i was asking the midwife to find out the sex of the baby. She told me it was too early to tell and things weren't formed yet and it was all to do with angles but she didn't find it accurate. And she said it was still a little too early to tell still as i was 11weeks.
Anyway i've put my pics on facebook and every1 has commented saying they could see a willy. I gotta admit i did ask but she said it def wasn't she couldn't tell. If it was that obvious wouldn't she have told me??
What i'm wandering is has anyone found out this early from a 4D scan b4!
I'm still convinced i'm having a girl so this has thrown me!! lol!
I HATE WAITING!!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've heard that they can tell around 12 weeks now with a really good lab tech but I wouldn't trust anything before 20 weeks. Just because its so easy to make mistakes when it comes to that. Thats probably why she didn't tell you.
Hope time flies by for you so that you can find out |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I knew it!You wouldn't be able to keep it a surprise.
I don't think it's possible to see ''the parts'' that soon.Ann-Marie said that her sonographer knew because of something else, some kind of line...
Anyway,I think that if it was that obvious you midwife would've definitely told you.... |

| i was told the best time for sexing is around 14 - 16 wks as the earlier you have it done its more accurate, this is down to having more room to look at the right angle and also swelling later on. here is a link to what they look for http://baby2see.com/medical/ultrasound.html |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ah, Belle, soon! Ann-Marie was told the sex of her baby at an early week, and mine was at 16 weeks.
Hope you find out soon for your sake! LOL |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think maybe they are a bit more careful about telling you the gender unless they are really sure these days, in case someone sues after painting the nursery, lol.
I think the only fool proof way is if you have one of those extremely risky tests where they take blood/ambiotic from the baby that they do to check for serious problems. They can tell from the Cromosomes (XX for a girl XY for a boy). Other than that it's all subjective unless they get a perfect shot on the scan.
ps- Belle, I hope my kid turns out as cute as Josh sem to be in your Av - he's adorable. |
