Night Sickness -Waking up every 2 hours, then morning sickness!!!

Who else is dealing with this? I am in my 7th week now, morning sickness, or nighttime sickness really-started precisely week 6. It's been a week now (only you might say) but I am exhausted!! Nausea and hot flashes start around 11pm, get better from eating some yogurt or cereal. During the night I wake up every 2 hours or so from nausea and have to eat a snack and sit up for it to go away. Then in the morning I feel sick again, it goes until 2pm or so until I finally feel a little better. I noticed that eating light snacks with protein help settle my stomach, I've tried Ginger, I wear sea sickness bands, drink lemon water..I AM JUST AFRAID THAT THIS MIGHT GO ON ANOTHER 6 WEEKS!!! ANY ADVICE?

Hi,
I didn't want to read and run. This is my 3rd pg and the sickness is just as bad as the other two. I'm just trying to eat, little and often and also as soon as i wake up to stop me being sick first thing. I hope it eases soon.

love Charlotte

Thanks so much Emily Roses,
i think eating a little and often is probably the best thing to do.
All the best for your pregnancy!!!

Hi Emily Roses M

I too have nausea throughout the night, and find that eating a little and often helps. High protein foods help, as does ginger tea. tastes foul but seems to help. I keep a packet of ginger biscuits by the bed.

Hope the nausea eases soon.

At 6 weeks my morning sickness start off like this. I woke up every morning at 4am to eat. Then had to wait until 5 or 6 before my stomach settled so I could go back to sleep. It lasted until 9 weeks but at 10 weeks I got whole different kind of morning sickness. If I wake up and my stomach is completely empty, I go into a heaving fest. Happens during the day too. So I have to constantly be eating something.

hiya babe, i know how you feel i had sickness like this in my last pregnancy. try eating little and often. if that fails go to your doctor and tell them that you are utterly desp. there are things they can give you to help the sickness, tablets/lozinges etc x

Before I found out I was pregnant, I was getting really sick at night and I'd be good during the day but now since I found out, I've been so sick all day pretty much, I can't sleep at night either because I feel so sick, so I always have crackers by my nighstand and those seem to help a bit

I have exactly the same thing without the eating i wake at 3am and i'm sick til about 8 at night. I have been put on tablets that have helped a little but i find drinking a little milk before you sit up in the morning works wonders for a while. Bit of a wives tale the doc told me i was very sceptical but it works! Hope you feel better sweetie and congrats x x x
