Question

Loss of appetite--is this normal?

I've never been much of a breakfast person but since I found out I am pregnant, I've eaten a healthy meal every morning with no problems. Today it just seems impossible, however. I made eggs and the smell revolted me, so I cut up some pineapple but I can't take more than a few bites. Even my small glass of orange juice is unappealing.

I don't feel overly queasy or anything but the thought of eating is incredibly awful right now. Anyone else gone through this?

Same with me. Before i fell pregnant, i was such a hungry horse all the time! Then i kinda went off alot of food and as you say, the smell of some things made me ill!!

But i found out the hard way ITS NOT good to just not eat.. I wasnt feeling hungry, and was feeling ill one night and then all of a sudden i got the worst stomach pains i have ever had. God forgive me but i actually though i was loosing my baby Later found out it was just bad hunger pains and was advised to just nibble on crackers or ginger biscuts if i was feel quezie, also drink plenty water ect just so i have something in my stomach..

I've actually lost weight since I found out.

I had no apetite and was very sick when someone brought up food.

I'm much better now and started gaining weight back. It's just a normal symptom that will go away....

I'm the same. I totally lost interest infood and whenever I did try to eat, I'd feel bloated after a few mouthfuls. Just keep persevering - ou will soon find something you can nibble on.
Also, if you get hungry, you will feel worse. It's best to nibble all day than not eat at all.
Hope you feel better soon.

yes, off and on throughout my pregnancy I have felt that way. Sometimes I could eat all day, some times I have to force it.

yeah, i don't have much appetite either. Im managing an apple for breakfast, a half of sandwich and an apple for lunch and a very small evening meal. I don't fancy anything but trying to eat when possible. I teach so can't nibble when i feel i need to , just got to take my breaks and eat then.

Talking

Me too!!

Don't worry, i'll be 8 weeks pregnant tomorrow and for the last week or two i haven't been wanting to eat much. I get really hungry then after a few bites I feel full. I just slow down and continue to eat small amounts over a period of time so I can hold it down. I just feel like I don't want to eat sometimes! But I do because I know the baby and I need it. So it's normal!!!

Breakfast is the only meal of the day i cannot eat now, if i do it makes me sick or makes me feel sick. I find that i have to wait until 10.00am before i can stomach anything.

Before breakfast was my favourite haha!!
