Hey everybody!
I had my first scan yesterday, just to check that everything is ok. My calculator told me that I must be 5weeks and 4 days, but scan showed 5 weeks and 2 days, dr told that 2 days difference is OK. But no heartbeat yet. Doctor told me, that it's early for heartbeat, but I'm a little bit scared Please tell me that it's ok not show heartbeat yet.

You see a heartbeat normally around 6 weeks, i had an early emerency scan and showed i was 6 weeks and could see heart beat, although very small and hard to work out.

When I had a scan at 6 weeks they put me back 2 weeks because she didn't even exist yet. I was then 2 weeks out. My dates kept changing in my early scans (because a few MM's can put you a day/week back). They're very inacurate.

Oh, and at my 12 week scan all my dates were as they should've been. She was just a slow starter.

What I'm saying is, I didn't even have a baby at 6 weeks, I wouldn't be worried about the heart not beating yet.

I had a scan at 5+2 weeks and there was only a yolk sac. went back at 7+2 weeks and all was as it should be there was a heartbeat! xxxxx

Lucky to get a scan so early I think I'll have to wait till 12 weeks.

agree with the others it's still early to get much out of the scan, I'm sure the next time you go you'll find everthing is as it should be

Thanks for your support Your answers calmed me down a bit. I had my first scan so soon, because 4 months ago I had a missed abortion and wanted to know that everything is fine and the baby is growing as it should be.

I know what that horrible wait is like hun, but im sure everything will be just fine. Hb doesnt start til about 6 wks.

It's definitely normal.It's still quite early,I didn't even know I was pregnant at 6 weeks...
Everything is perfectly fine...Congrats!

Agree with the others, I think it's a bit to early to see a heartbeat. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy
