A bit worried

Hi,

I am new on here and got my BFP on Sunday. I have had 2 previous miscarriages and have been ttc for over a year, so to get a BFP is amazing news! I am just hoping this one sticks....please!!!!

Anyway, went to the doctor today to tell them that I am PG. I have also had spotting this time and I am only just over 4 weeks. Lasted for a few days and then stopped a day or 2 ago. I have also had cramps in my stomach and felt quite uncomfortable at times. So I told the doctor about this and he started to get worried saying it might be an ectopic PG. He is phoning the EPU tomorrow to see what they say, but now I am left feeling in a panic!!

My line was really faint on Sunday and is getting stronger as I have tested every day since! - but it is still faint. I used a CB digital today and also got pregnant on that. I am worried by how faint the line is as well as I know low HCG can be a symptom of ectopic.

Can anyone offer any advice on this please? Would the spotting carry on if it was an ectopic?

Thanks for any responses x

Hi hun

Congrats on your BFP

I don't know too much about eptopic pg but lots of people have cramping and spotting early on and they go on to have healthy babies.

If you are 4 weeks the line is still likely to be pretty faint so I wouln't worry about that too much, it will get darker.

And try not to panic untill you know anything for certain, im sure everything is fine

Let us know what happens...

xx

Dont worry about the light hcg. I have no experince with ectopic but i have been told to start the hcg rises as normal. So you have no signs. i also had cramps all the way through. The epu should do some hcg tests and then scan you when you far enough along. Which will be good for some reasurrance. There is a pregnancy after loss section on here that i sometimes post in. They can offer some reasurrance and there maybe some women who have had ectopics that could advise you more. Good luck and keep us posted
