So I've had four different people who have not come in contact with each other tell me today that I look like I'm having twins. I had an incredibly early, strong positive test on three different tests, and I'm HUGE. I'm only supposed to be 4 weeks and 5 days, and I look like I'm well into my pregnancy!! Twins do NOT run in either mine or my boyfriend's family. How likely is it that I'm actually carrying multiple babies?! I'm so concerned that there's more than one in there(I wasn't really gunnin' for twins for my first pregnancy). My theory is that I'm further along than I think. I'm either further along, carrying twins, or I'm going to give birth to a whale haha.


Here's a picture of my bump so you can see what I'm talking about. I took it this morning. It pretty much showed up over night. I'm not a super skinny girl but I'm not overly big either, and my stomach rounded out like crazy out of nowhere.

get down to ur doctors and explain ur worried..u could just be bloated..everyones different..i dont know anyone who has had twins so i dont no how far along is it ud start showing..but i defo think ur further along than four weeks lol..

I dont know hun, i didnt think twins would even show that early... the sack would only just be forming wouldnt it??

hey there, congrats on your BFP!! Hope your BF is more settled on the idea!! I think you are further along than u think. U could be another 4 weeks ahead of yourself, so really you could be approaching nine weeks- but you really wont know till you get a scan. As for twins, well, it is possible not to have any in your family and end up with some- but it is relatively rare. Remember also i pregnancy you carry a lot of water and it coiuld be that this particular day you are storing more- there are many explainations, these will only be settled once you have the scan. haha I don't think its sexy, it'll be sexy in 8 weeks when its supposed to be that big. Now I just feel fat hah

twins doesnt make much diff this earlie hun i didnt show with mine till 3 months then it got bigger lol

It could be a number of things, water retention, bloated or even if you havent been to the toilet for a few days, but like the others have said you should go speak with your doctor if you are concerned he might be able to do an internal ultrasound scan....

I know how you feel at the idea of twins! When me and my OH told his parents (seperately) the first thing they said was that it WILL be twins as there are so many cases of twins in both their families, though there are none on my side.
- But I'm 10 weeks and I barely have any bump (sorta looking forward to having one) so it could be the case or not for me??? I think you're big bump is a good sign - twins or not - I bet you're both healthy as ever and I hope your pregnancy goes well!!!!
