Really scared something is wrong!

I will catch you up on what has been going on this week, I saw my GP on monday for severe cramping (he was a total ass and told me it could be an ectopic preg and I was risking my life by waiting a day to get help), got me an appt at the epu for Weds morn, so was he not doing the same by making me wait?

Anyway had the standard bloods done at the epu and had a scan which showed everything is fine with the bubz and dated me at 9 weeks +2 days, so I have been on cloud 9 ever since.

I get up this morning and I have a letter from the local hospital, I have an appointment for Monday at 2.30 at the macmillan treatment centre at the local hosp (which has a very big phlebotomy unit for bloods etc) So now I am in a complete whirlwind, and scared to death that there is somethinbg seriously wrong with me. Hubby just shrugged it off and said that I will have to wait and see what they say on Monday. Am I just being super paranoid? Anyone else had any appointments come through like this?? Pfft well here i go against everything I have done to make myself healthy for the past 3 weeks, I am off for a coffee and a sneaky ciggy!

I wouldn't worry too much because your scan showed that your baby is fine. You still would have to have some blood work with/or after your midwife appointment anyway. I think you got that letter because your recent scan confirmed your pregnancy.

I agree with your hubby, wait and see what they have to say.

I would just say yr doc requested them at the time he saw you. When i saw my GP for recurrent MC he said he would refer me. 2 days later i had a HEAP of bloods from the local hospital and a pelvic ultrasound appt.

Its prob just process, he prob didnt think EPAU would take blood. I called my local hospital depts and asked where the hell the appts had come from...they said "you saw the GP yesterday, he asked for them"

Just call, will put yr mind at rest. x
