Does anyone know?

Hi

was just wondering if anyone knew as i am too scared to google it!!!

i know that after 12 weeks the risk of m/c drops loads but is it a massive drop in risk?

Also, have you got more chance of a m/c at, say 6 weeks than 7 and so on? is this how it works?

thanks in advance
xx

Once you see a heartbeat it goes down some and then it drops more significantly at 12 weeks. However those are just statistics and I would try to focus on the more positive stuff! You'll be 12 weeks in no time. Good job not googling it's not a preggo's best friend!

Hi Jenkins
I found this on a website I hope its helpful. Try not to worry about misscarriage as it will only cause u stress which isnt good for the baby. Stay positive.

How Common is Miscarriage?
When considering this question, it is helpful to ask how often pregnancy occurs on average each cycle. Studies looking at very sensitive pregnancy tests suggest that pregnancy will occur in at least 60% of natural cycles in fertile couples.

The risk of miscarriage decreases as pregnancy progresses. It is possible that as many as 50% of pregnancies miscarry before implantation in the womb occurs. Early after implantation, pregnancy loss rate is about 30% (i.e. this is still before a pregnancy is clinically recognised). After a pregnancy may be clinically recognised (between days 35-50), about 25% will end in miscarriage. The risk of miscarriage decreases dramatically after the 8th week as the weeks go by.
