Threatening miscarriage

HI, I'M NEW TO THIS,

BUT I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD HELP WITH SOME ADVISE OR MAYBE SOMEONE IS GOING THROUGHT THIS, I'M 5WKS AND 6DAYS PREGNANT NOW AND I'VE BEEN BLEEDING A LIGHT PERIOD FOR THE LAST 5 DAYS WITH A COUPLE OF LITTLE CLOTS, I'VE BEEN AND HAD AN EMERGENCY SCAN BUT ALL THAT SHOWED WAS A SAC AND NO HEARTBEAT WHICH I SEE IS NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF PREGNANCY. I'M DUE TO GO BACK IN FOR ANOTHER SCAN IN 6 DAYS TO CHECK FOR A HEART BEAT AND TO BE HONEST I'M GOING OUT OF MY MIND WITH WORRY, DOES ANYONE THINK THAT YOU CAN HAVE A LIGHT TYPE PERIOD AND STILL GO ON TO FULL TERM, I ALREADY HAVE CHILDREN AND THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE, AND I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, ONLY SIT AND PLAY THE WAITING GAME. WHICH IS VERY FUSTRATING, ANY COMMENTS WOULD BE GLADLY APPREICATED AS I FEEL SO ALONE

MANY THANKS AND KIND REHARDS X

really sorry your going through this, you wont ever be alone in this forum

its impossible to say hun, but there has been so many success stories from women in these forums that have been bleeding and then things turn out to be ok.
i myself had a bleed on a much smaller scale at 14 weeks and thought the worst but it turned out to be ok.

im sure you will get lots of advice from these ladies

xxx

Hi hon,

I am going thro exactly the same thing now. I am 6 wks and 3 days today and I have been bleeding since xmas day. Its started brown then went bright red like a light period and then back to brown again. Im now getting light, brown spotting.

I went for a scan on Tues and they could see the sac but no heartbeat. They said that this is either that my dates are slightly out, which is really common or that the bean has just stopped growing. I now have to wait until next weds for another scan to find out what is going on. Its such an awful time waiting and waiting and not knowing, I totally understand what you're going thro.

On the positive side since this has been happening I have talked to lots and lots of women who have had bleeding and have gone on the have healthy pregnancies. So everything crossed for both of us.

Feel free to message me anytime if you want to chat, if we have to go thro this horrible time at least we can make it a bit better by doing it together!

Sending loads of positive vibes your way

xxx

Hi! I have been spotting since I found out on December 2nd. The bleeds that I am having are not affecting the baby at all....i have had some pretty heavy bleeding and large clots...but baby is still growing away! I am 9 weeks and 2 days now and so far so good. Keep us updated.....and as my Dr. said I am proof that blood isn't always bad Just relax and don't worry until you have you..i know thats easier said then done

hi,

Just thought i would give you all a quick update, the bleeding hasn't completely stopped, its sort of ON OFF and ranges from red to brown and back again, i've got 4 days now until my scan and i'm so paniced, i don't know what to do with myself as i'm sure those of you going through this will understand.
Thank you all for your replies, as i don't wish anyone to go through this i'm glad there are other people that are having the same experience and are coming through thisout the other side with happy stories.
Because this is starting to take over my life, i did a pregnancy test yesterday and that still shows positive which i'm over joyed about but then i'm constantly on the loo checking myself andnfinding i'm still bleeding and my heart just sinks again.
I'm scared to leave my bedroom incase i start to bleed more heavily worying as i cant bring myself to go to work just incase it happens.
I'm so glad to be able to chat on here about this as i cant tell anyone whats happening and my partner doesn't really understand.

I hope your all doing well, and thanks again for your support, much love to you all xxx

Good luck for your scan darling. Don't worry about tests or anything, just take it easy as much as you can, eat lots of fruits and veggies and don't forget your vitamins. Will be hoping to hear really good news from your scan
