I'm new!

Hi I've never posted on here before but have lurked and got lots of information from the boards.

I am newly pregnant, 6 weeks and 6 days and so happy as I have had two previous ectopic pregnancies. I had a scan today which confirmed that baby is in the right place with a strong heartbeat so relieved as the wait for the scan has been excruitiating as I was convinced it would be bad news! I know that it is still early days but I can relax a bit now! xx

Congratulations Kizzy, just a quick question, did you have problems with your tubes before u got pregnany? Im awaiting an early scan to check if mine is ectopic as i was diagnosed with block tubes, so would love to know ur story.

Hi Piggin Teacher

I had my first ectopic pregnancy in December 1998, I didn't know I was pregnant at the time as we were not ttc and I did not miss a period. I went to my GP as I was having bleeding inbetween my periods, he did a test and confrimed I was pregnant but sent me straight to hospital as he had a feeling something wasn't quite right. They did blood tests and I had a scan which confirmed an ectopic pregnancy and was sent down to theatre and they couldn't save the tube so had that removed too. They said that they had looked at my other tube and that seemed clear.

I got pregnant again in 2001 and which was ok and now have a healthy 8 year old boy.

I had my second ectopic pregnancy in August last year, I didn't think I would have another one as I already had my son and my other tube had been removed but it got caught in the remnant stump of the tube that had been removed and they could not save the baby. Again they said that my other tube was OK and now that they had completely removed my other tube then I shouldn't have another ectopic on that side.

I wish you luck with your pregnancy, has your doctor done hct tests as this is a good way of knowing if all is well with your pregnancy? Take care xx
