trouble sleeping??

All the talk about feeling tired... lol... Now what about not being able to sleep?? I usually go to be about 10, fall asleep around 11 and can sleep until 4 and then im up! I can't sleep, I basically lay there or go to the bathroom and comeback and lay there... I have trouble getting comfortable too.

Im the kind of person that can't sleep when something exciting happens, I sure hope that doesn't mean Im not going to sleep for the rest of the pregnancy lol! Im definately even more excited after today, I had my first scan and it was SOOOO neat seeing the baby! I didnt get alot of info or the pic though because this scan was necessary for a referal to a particular OBGYN... But I was surpised at how developed the baby was... I thought it would just look like a blob...

umm ok, now im rambling.

Congratulations on seeing your little one.It is surprising how much they look like real babies, isn't it?

Every woman experiences her pregnancy different. Some are tired and some can't sleep.

I don't know what to recommend you for it but, take a glass of worm milk(no tea or coffe) and try to fall asleep, maybe do something around the house?

I remember that well! I went through this really badly from about weeks 6-8, but it seems to have calmed down a bit now. It's so frustrating, because you're absolutely exhausted when you go to bed, and then a couple of hours later you're wide awake. I always wanted to go back to sleep when my alarm went off in the morning after tossing and turning all night!

I started to drink alot of camomille tea, and that seemed to work. Also, when I woke up I used to just read a book, and not try and go back to sleep, and eventually you do. I think it might just be one of those things that we have to put up with and it sorts itself out.

Good luck!

hmm thanks guys... I will try the warm milk. Last night I just got up for half an hour and came online to see if that would work... But itwas just the same when I went and laid back down. And I always have an urge to pee, and it makes it uncomfortable for sleeping

I know exactly what you mean, I only found out I was pregnant on Monday and I havent slept since. I am one of those people that needs lots of sleep otherwise I get grouchy, and I go to bed absolutely shattered but then once I get to sleep I keep waking up. I assumed I was just maybe excited at my recent news. Hope it doesnt go on!
