It depends on the surgery cos when i went my doc (who was new) she said that the last place she worked they just trusted you and didnt ask any questions. Mine asked for a sample and that was it, wasnt told anything else. So i think it just depends on the rules of your surgery. = )

Well,it depends on many things...
My doctor took my blood and urine samples to confirm it,but a lot of them don't because pregnancy tests are very accurate today...

So if you got a positive, you must be pregnant.Just wait for your dating scan...

I kno it is but it can be a very long wait between seein the doctor and the first scan/booking app. Jus buyin kits can offer some peace of mind. I used boots own which were £5 for 2. I'm not saying use them every day just when your feeling extremely anxious.

Congratulations hun on your BFP, wishing you a very healthy & happy pregnancy!

I never had to confirm mine neither, I just had my booking appointment at 10 wks. As has already been said, tests are so reliable that they feel no need to confirm now. x

They didn't test me. I was so worried the tests would've been wrong all the way up untill my scan. Luckily I had to have early scans..
