I am so tired all the time

I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant and I'd say I started feeling regularly tired at about 6 weeks...but lately it's hit me like a ton of bricks. I literally feel like I could sleep all day.

I try to make myself go out for walks but it's very difficult as just the thought of walking more than a block is utterly exhausting. I'm on prescription prenatal vitamins that are absolutely packed with iron, so I doubt it's anemia.

Any tricks to ease the fatigue, or should I just wait for it to get better in a few weeks? All suggestions are welcome!

I don't have any advice sorry.
I just know that it's normal and a good symptom that everything is ok and your LO is ok...

I did used to sleep all day sometimes during my first trimester and all night too.

The only thing that helps is.... sleep!

I know it's frustrating. Our flat was a complete mess because I didn't have the energy to do any housework. I couldn't even go to the shop sometimes & I was sent home from work a couple of times because I was clearly too tired to be there. It eased up around 9 or 10 weeks though.

The best advice I can give you is to wait it out, try to get as much rest as possible, because your body needs it right now. It does get better in second trimester.

Thank you for the kind words. And yeah, our apartment is a wreck at the moment. I've also been terribly lax about shopping. But scrubbing the floors and carrying groceries back from the store? Not a chance right now.

I hope my husband doesn't think I'm just malingering.

Its best to rest if you can have a few naps during the day you should try to listen to your body because at the moment it is having to work very hard there is light at the end of the tunnel though the tiredness usually eases by 12 weeks or so take care x

Exactly what the others say...if you are tired, don't fight it! Go and have a nap if at all possible. In the first few weeks, I was so tired I locked myself in the board room at work when no-one was about and had 5 minutes shut-eye. It eased off for me at around 10 weeks. x

I usually wake up really lazy and tired feeling... Like I could sleep all day lol... I find it hard to get motivated but I find once I get going and out of the house I have more energy and usually end up coming home and doing the housework in the evening...
