I'm Currently Feeling: | 2 more weeks of heartache :( Well, we had our early scan this morning because i had a little bleeding at 5.2wks. Am 7wks tomorrow so was hoping to see the heartbeat and be able to breath again. We didnt.
First she did a normal ultrasound and said she couldnt see any evidence of pregnancy at all which really freaked me out. Then she did internal and found a sack, but that was it. Sack was 5mm so she says i am only 4 maybe 5 weeks pregnant, but ive studied my dates and im not!!
I was booked in for another scan in a fortnight and that was about it. They wont give me another bloodtest because she says everything looks ok... but that looks ok for 4 WEEKS!!!
I am terrified and am going to go insane waiting another fortnight before we know whats going on.
Could she mean 4 weeks from conception?? That would work out right cause i o'd late?? Has anyone had this or similar??? |

I'm really sorry you're having to go through this.
It's good that she thinks everything looks fine and even though we may not always understand - they know best most of the time. A little knowledge is worse than none because it makes us question what the people who really know are saying and just makes us worry.
I didn't think they could even see the sack till 4 1/2 weeks at the earliest anyway which is another good sign.
Fingers crossed that at your next scan you'll see your baby. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | hi wishes,
so sorry to hear the scan didn't go well. Firstly, its so early on its not always possible to find the yolk or embryo with an internal scan so its possible that you'll go back and they'll pick up something. I'm surprised they are not taking bloods again as this would be a good indicator of your HCG levels rising or falling. In my first pg they found an empty sac but I was almost 10 weeks so it was clear things hadn't worked out. you might have dates wrong by a few days (I did) too! Much love and thoughts it must be so hard having to wait. Keep chatting, we're all here for you x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oh,I'm sorry you have to wait...
It is a form of torture for pregnant women.
But if she found a sac and said it looks ok,than I'm sure it is...
I hope it works out
And maybe you should try contacting your midwife or your doctor.I don't think anyone will refuse to take your blood sample...
Good luck! |
