Pregnant and concerned..

Well i am 7 weeks pregnant and have a few concerns..I had three miscarriages 2 years ago in which one i nearly died....I went on to have a little girl last year, she is now 4-5 mths old..I had a miscarriage early this year and have now started to worry myself incase it happens again..I have no real symptoms except excessive peeing, and a positive test, but as you can imagine i am slightly worried that i will miscarry again...
I also have to say that i am new to forums as such and have found it hard sometimes to fit in, as i am a mum to 9..I have 8 girls and 1 boy..I always wanted 10 children and i hope that this will be the one...I want to congratulate all for the pg and hope you all well for the next nine months...
Any one else had a time of it, would be nice to talk to someone who has had a few problems and finally got to the safe period of pg..
I do believe the miscarriages i had were either the feotus was male as i seem to carrry girls or my uterous was tellingme something...
My kids ages are 17, 13, 9, 6, 5,5,3,2,4 mths.....Well now you all know my little secret which i am reluctant to tell people as i have had a lot of ridicule because of my kids and i hope that you will accept me as just another pregnant mum with the same worries that you all share on here...

Hello and welcome to Baby bump. Wow 9 children, there is nothing wrong with that. I have 3 children that I gave birth too and I have 2 step daughters. My ex's mom had 12 children. I wish you all the luck for your little bean to stick. It really dose not matter how many children you have a m/s still is very hard.

Wow 8 girls and 1 boy?
I hope your pregnancy turns out to be amazing, try not to worry unless you have a reason to. You're still very early as far as symptoms and stuff are concerned. Every pregnancy is different. Good luck!

I agree with toria, it's still very early in your pregnancy, could be that the symptoms just haven't shown yet, or could be that you won't get any bad symptoms this pregnancy. My mom had 5 kids and she said each pregnancy was vastly different from the next!

Thanks ladies..You made me feel alittle more relaxed about being a mum to many...

I am hoping that this one will stay tucked away until nov, but as you can imagine the fear of another miscarriage is well in the front of my mind..I suppose i am worried becuase by now i would be throwing up all over the place and feeling tired, but i feel fine, which i know i should be happy about but i cant stop wondering...
Strange thing is i am worried about making an appointment with my gp as he has been badgering me about getting sterialised, thats how bad it is, not fair but when you live with so much ridicule its hard to face reality...
I also worry as i was diagnosed with PND after Keonah-Jade was born, and i also have funny blood due to a blood transfusion after the twins...I need constant blood tests and i know i should be setting up my antenatl but i had a bad midwife who well lets just say, told me i was selfishe as i sat on the delivery table holding my newborn daughter...Putting my life at risk and not thinking about my kids..So as you can imagine being on here is the only line i have at the mo as i need to pick up the courage to tell people...

Lots of people are lucky and don't have much in the way of symptoms in early pregnancy. It can be scary though because in a way you rely on the symptoms to reassure you that you are actually pregnant.

Try not to let it worry you. I didn't have many symptoms till 6 weeks and it's still very early days. All pregnancies are different.

You have as many kids as you want. That's up to you. If you get the same midwife again I'd request someone else.

I don't think anyone on this forum would ridicule you one bit! The ladies on here are wonderful!

Society nowadays don't have as many children as they did generations ago. My grandmother had 9 children and on my father's side there were 7. I suppose this is why perhaps people are shocked. I think though that if many could afford it, etc. more women would probably have a few more children.

This will be my third child and I also have 3 stepkids, who do live with their moms. Yet, every second weekend I have all 5 here (will be 6 in the future) and it gets crazy. LOL

You must be a very busy mom and congratulations on having 9 children and on your BFP!

6 weeks is a bit early at times for symptoms to appear. Give it another week or so and I am sure that some more symptoms will come. Hopefully, you won't have the morning sickness though.

I can certainly understand your concern about your pregnancy due to your past experiences. I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Thats the problem.Where i live it is a tiny town in the highlands of scotland and we are restricted with our widwives..I have given birth to 2 up here, when i fell with the second one i cancelled the midwife that i was recieving as she made my life hell at the delivery of Theah-Saffron so i managed to get another, but when i went into labour with Keonah-Jade it was night time and we get the same staff..I will be requesting another midwife if she is on but if i push to hard i will end up being sent 109 miles down the line to Inverness, which as you can appreciate is not the best for my family situation. We rely on friends to look after the little ones when i go into hosppital, and my hubby comes with me, so a few days that far away from my kids is not an option..
I am the kind of mum who has the baby and gets home as soon as i can normally within the 6 hrs...depending on time of delivery...
So many problems will have to be sorted before i am sure what i am doing..
