When are you/did you all go to your GP?

As title says really.

My 1st pregnancy I went when I was about 6 or 7 weeks. He then referred me to midwife and organised my scan at hospital.

I dont know whether to make it for about the same time or for 8/9 weeks when I will have missed 2 periods like my mum suggested??

I kid of want to go early as last time I never got my scan until 13+5wks and i go back to in February when I will have just turned 9 weeks.

So when are/did you go?

I went at around 6 wks, as its my first I wasn't sure what to do. She didn't do much bar take blood pressure etc. My midwife appt isn't till 10 wks cause of the days that Christmas and NY fall on this yr. I'm hoping that doesn't mean that my scan is really delayed.

I went to doc at 4 and a half weeks for her to confirm the pregnancy. I changes docs surgeries and had a registration app with the nurse who mad my 1st MW app at 7w4d. She just did blod pressure etc and made my booking app which was today and my 1st scan app which as you know is on Monday so it seemed to go really quick for me x

Hi ya congratulations, I Made GP appointment when i got my bfp she made me to be 6 weeks, you then have a Midwife at 8 weeks and then send you scan which works out on ya 12 weeks I have my 8 week appointment 2morrow, Best to get checked and registed Hun xx Good Luck

I phoned my docs not long after I found out just to ask them what I needed to do, they told me to come in and pick up a bounty pack and then that day they made me an appointment with the midwife for the same week! I think I was 6 weeks then xx

I went at 5 weeks and got my appointment tomorrow, not sure when my scan is yet though.

I would advise that the earlier you go, the better. But usually appointments aren't until 8-10 weeks with midwife so it just depends how you feel hun

Going at 8-9 weeks might actually be okay because you might get in with the midwife straight away and then referred for your scan too.

I went the Dr the day after getting my BFP as i was so excited after ttc for yrs :-)

I was just over 4wks. She just did my BP and weighed me and gave me a "emma's diary book" and told me to book scan myself but i was just so happy to be at the Dr's cos i was pregnant and not cos i had trouble conceiving like usual x

I think I might wait until 3rd Jan after the New Years holidays etc when I will be over 5 weeks and see what the procedure is in this medical practice as I literally only registered the beginning of December with them.

i didn't know what to do. i thought you just went to the doctor when you knew you were pregnant, so i went at 4+1! she didn't do anything, just went through my edd (which i already knew at the time), congratulated me, asked if i was taking folic acid, then got me to fill out a form for my midwife referral. i had my booking in appointment at 5+4, & then got a scan date through a couple of weeks later, for when i'm 12 weeks.
