Prescription for buying a doppler???


I am currently biding on a doppler but I just read somewhere you need a prescription to buy it or you can get fined? Has anyone else heard this/experianced this?

or you can buy them of ebay for like 15 pound which is a hell of a lot cheaper then each month lol.....and as for the perscription im sure if you had to then it would state it when u have to buy it....im not sure but it could be the ones u rent that u have to have a perscription for....not the ones you buy..just a thought. x
