hiya all im really in a bit of pain with my internal c section scar is this normal ?
it hurts when i move or lie down please help xx

How long ago was your c-section? it could be stretching pains from your current pregnancy but if your in quite a lot of discomfort i would get some medical adive, maybe ring nhs direct?

i had my c section 5 yrs ago nhs direct are poo just asked them they dont have no one on now to advise me cant find no resurch on c section probs on the net like pregnancy after c section has any one given birth naturally after a c section ?

NHS direct are a bit of a waste of time - they won't risk anything with a pregnant woman for fear of being sued! I would say raise it with the midwife/GP. Probably it is just one of those bizarre aches and pains that pregnancy seems to bring - uterine scar pain can be sinister but that is much later on (3rd trimester/labour) when it can signify scar dehisence (i.e. the scar from the previous C-section on the uterus is beginning to tear apart) which is one of the risks with VBAC (vaginal birth after Caeserean) deliveries.

It is definitely possible to go for vaginal delivery after 1 previous C-section, midwives/obstetricians usually have a leaflet explaining pros and cons etc which can be really useful and you'll get lots of support either way. Hope this helps but try not to worry too much at this stage!

I agree with studentdad. I work in a hospital too and I have seen many women go onto have a natural birth after a C Section. Bring the subject of the pain up with the midwife if you're worried, they should be able to help.

thanks studentdad was really worried shame the net doesnt have this info my pains might be worse than norm some times coz the doc thinks its twins or triplets lol
