Help with BFP?

Hi ladies, I am gatecrashing your area again, but I am hoping that I will be able to enter here soon!! I was wondering if any of you have stories/experiences of ppl getting their BFP rather later than expected. The reason I ask is that my last period was 21st feb, and I think this is the first month that I felt O pains ANyway, period, or spotting is always usually there around day 25, which was 5 days ago, and nothing!!!! So technically I think I am 5 days late, but last month I didnt really get red blood till cd33, very confusing I know!! Anyway, to make things more complicated, I have ebay HPTs which are the strip kind and are meant to 10 miu and I tested on sunday, to tell the truth I got the ghost of a line!! I was shaking so much!! Anyway, I didnt believe it, so I have been testing everyday since, and some days there has definitely been something there, this morning especially. I had slight bleeding when I wiped the past couple of days, but nothing now ( fingers crossed). I did a digi yesterday and it said not pg!! ( I took it aoart though and there were definitely two lines?) I have even uploaded all of my tests for a couple of the chat ladies to look at and they see faint lines too!! I have never had evaps from these tests and neither have these ladies, weird huh? Anyway, do any of u know of ladies who have had minimal results and go on to have a pregnancy, any ideas would be helpful. Was going to go to docs today, but everything is closed as it is easter friday!! AGHhhh! (Oh and my neighbours have also seen the lines too!!) Help anyone? Candice

Hiya. I used the ebay strip tests with my last pregnancy a week early. I had a really really really faint line.... but it was a line all the same.. and as they say... you can get false negatives... but not false positives The digi ones need more hcg I think....... not sure. This time round, the Boots one worked 4 days early.. and they're really chep too !! Good Luck

Well ladies, whoever said false positives were rare, hadnt met me!!! I have had at least 6 that girls on here have looked at and said were pos, but I think AF has started tonight!! It seems too heavy to be just spotting and has continued since 4 pm. Who knows what was going on, have emailed the manufacturers and they said their tests r accurate!!! Dunno what was going on. Well, onto next month and charting, hopefully I will get a line that you can see from space!! No doubt there!! Thanks for all the support and good luck to everyone!! Candice xx

The problem with these modern tests is that we can test earlier than we used to. Unfortunately, 70% of pregnancies end in mascarraige. We didn't used to detect these, we just thought we were having a late period. Although it is fab that we don't have the agony of waiting too long to test anymore, it means we have the further agony of increased miscarraige.
Thats what I was so scared of when I tested on the 1st day of my due period. Alhtough it is awful, it is just something we have to accept now.
I am so sorry for your disapointment and hope that it happens really soon. I know the waiting is painful, I've been there! Good luck and hope to see you here next month!!!
