I feel silly asking this but….

I found out I was pregnant on 12 March, went doctors on 13 March. She sent a fax off to my local hospital and I should wait for a letter. She didn’t even check I'm pregnant!! I just told her I had three BFP's and she accepted that.

Is the booking-in appointment the same as the 12 week scan appointment.

I don’t know what im waiting for….according to the first day of my last period im 8 weeks. So will I get an appointment with the doc to confirm the pregnancy or will I get a scan???

Alot of people dont get confirmation from Doctors.
It's a waiting game, i was in the same boat as you waiting for booking in with midwife, luckily it came today. I was told i might have to wait upto 2 weeks to hear from her, and should be between 8 and 10 weeks. If your worrying ring your doctors, and see if they can help.
Your booking in with the midwife is to get all your history etc, and then you have a dating scan/12 week scan.

ive got my booking scan on the 30th i only went doc yesterday and she gave the mumber to call and when i called this morning she booked me in over the phone it must be diff depending on the area im guessing??

It's so weird from aera to aera, mind you i think it's doctor to doctors aswel, my mate found out she was pregnant, went doctors, who told her to go reception and book in, she got her appt there and then, and only had to wait a few days!

I went to doctors at 6 weeks, they just took my word for it that i was pregnant, They rung hospital there and then and i was told my scan was at 13 weeks and then i will finally see my midwife at 14 weeks when she will takes bloods and family medical history etc.
Im not happy about the long wait and feel extremely ignored but apparently its not that important that they see me.

I keep getting scared that im gonna wait all this time and even though i know i am...im told im not!! Silly i know but i cant believe its happening!!

My doc just took my word for it that I was pregnant too. She faxed off the form to the hospital (this was 4 weeks ago) and I've only just heard from them with the date of my NT scan. I still don't know when I'm supposed to book in with the midwife though.

I had my booking in appointment on tuesday and the docs surgery just took my word for it but I spoke to another girl at work that is pregnant and she had to get in confirmed by doc and then wait until after first scan for midwife appointment. I think it is completly down to the surgery you go to

My dc did tests to make sure I'm pregnant.
But a lot of girls don't have it done.They just take your word for it.It's very hard to get three BFPs if you're not pregnant...
