Ive been worried over the last few days that my symtoms were disappearing... my boobs aint sore anymore... no sickness ... So i spoke to the midwife at EPU and went up for a early scan this morning... I should be around 6wks 3 days going by my last period... but the scan today all they could see was gestational sac (spelling ??) and a yolk sac... they couldnt see a fetal pole... and put me at 5wks 3days... and told me to come back in 2 weeks... it wasnt a internal scan... just a belly scan... now im really worried because there was no baby
Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen... any thoughts or comments... im really stressed and worried now... the next 2 weeks are gonna be so difficult
Right, I tried to explain this in short but it didn't work so here goes..
I had my first scan at 6 weeks to check my pregnancy wasn't ectopic because of the morning after pill and some pains on my left side. They could only find the gestational sac and put me back to 4 weeks. I then had to come back for another scan at 8 weeks (which was 6 weeks if you go to where they put me back to) and I was measuring 7 weeks. 2 days later I was bleeding so I had another scan and that put me at 8 weeks. At 12 weeks she was measuring perfectly for my dates (even though I was meant to be 10 weeks), I just have a small baby
Wrote some of that wrong so I corrected it.

Hello try not to worry (i know it's difficult).
I have found when I worry about my pregnancy my symtoms sem to disappear, I think it's the worry!
I have been through exactly the same thing as you, just turned out I got my dates wrong!
I thought I was about 7 weeks or so, was sent for an early scan as I have pcos and they only found the gestational sac and put my date to 5+2 weeks!
I was really worried at this point as I thought something bad was happening!
I had a repeat scan two weeks on from the first which was a belly scan and they found nothing, you can imagine what I was feeing at this point!!! But then the sonographer told me to empty bladder and I was to have an internal scan and voila there it was baby's heart bealting away.
I f you have had no cramping or bleeding I'm sure everything is fine!!!!
You have reassurance from your scan that the sac is in the right place this is a great sign.
Honestly think you will be fine and as soon as you see your LO on the screen you'll prob find your symptoms reappear,

hi there, my heart goes out to you, must be so hard waiting. Last pregnancy all my symptoms stopped then I bled a few weeks later. In a scan they found the sac but it was empty. I would push for an internal scan to be sure, its hard to pick up anything with a normal scan so early. Lots of luck. X

Hi I had a scan when I thought I was 6 weeks, all they saw was a black sac with nothing in it. They said that the sac was the wrong shape for a normal pregnancy.Luckily they asked me to come back 2 weeks later before they did a d&c and there was baby measuring 7 weeks with a heart beat. Dont give up hope, im now 21 weeks pregnant and never thought id get here. Everythings so tiny at this stage and easily missed. best of luck xxx

Mind you, i do know what youre going through. I had some bleeding at the weekend and ive got to wait until next week for a scan. The wait is driving me insane!! And im terrified they wont be able to see anything. Its nice to hear it might not be the worst news if they cant straight away though.
Good luck hun.
