Well I've just got back from the docs and had my scan, I'm 13 weeks on Friday.
Well what a big baby it is, well to me it was

Doc says everything is very good, heart beating well, probably weighs about 30 grams, whatever that is, length about 3 1/2 - 4 inches. He says the size on the screen is the actual size. So, I found out the scanner is not the most brilliant one, it doesn't print out pics, so we tried taking one with the camera, with out much success.
OH says doc said the baby is facing down. Well from the angle I saw from the bed, I could have sworn it was facing up!!! Goes to show how bad the picture was before we took the photograph!! He even started jabbing my belly to make baby move into a better position, I was like "Oy, stop jabbing baby", but then I saw it move and it was ace!! Felt very weird, it still doesn't seem real, that baby is in my belly, swimming and dancing, moving around, it just doesn't feel real yet. I guess once my belly goes bigger, THEN it will seem real!
He says my not sleeping is probably because I'm not relaxing and have too much on my mind ........ yes, trying to get back to sleep!!! He also said my 2 dizzy episodes are down to my blood pressure going up and down (no dizziness for over a week), he said to keep taking 2 folic acid, multi vit and vit E in a morning and 2 folic a and 1 vit E in the evening and to come back in a month.
They will then do some tests, blood tests, blood pressure. I asked OH to ask if they would do an internal and I didn't get a reply, they just said the usual tests.
Can anyone tell me what the usual tests are??
We asked about a nochnal(?) scan for down syndrome and general check over, but he said there was no need as everything looked great in the scan!!! He also said they didn't have the scanning machine here in BG, only the needle test and I would have to spend a couple for days in Sofia to get these done!! I confess, although my doc has been great and very supportive, am I really get everything done that I should have done?? They are being great, making sure I will have all my paperwork in order for the hospital (as I'm a foreigner), but how can the doc tell about any deeper underlying problems from a normal scan? Isn't that why there is the nochnal scan?? (Is that how you spell it??)
My OH says there's nothing to worry about and I'm sure he's right, but can anyone offer any words of wisdom??
OH also told him how I come on this forum and the doc says no more forum as everyone is different and I shouldn't compare myself to other women!!!! I told OH the forum was for chatting and moaning about cravings and aches and pains and to also compare how sore you're nipples are this month or to rant about how OH has no idea what we are going through!! (I used them as an example

). I put him right!!!!!!!
