Exclamation

Bit of bleeding

Had a really bad scare last night. I felt a bit sticky down below and when I went to the loo before bed there was a brownish smear of Blood on my knickers.

I rang NHS direct and had to wait for a nurse to ring me back. She was wonderful, she asked me a serise oF questions - like:-
Q = Was I hot or cold? (A = warm)
Q = Did I feel faint or clampy (A = Neither)
Q = Any Abdominal Pain (A = No)
Q = How much blood? (A = A smear)
Q = Blood Clumpy? (A = No)

She said it sounded like normal bleeding, caused by the Baby settling in (I'm 5 weeks). She pointed out that a lot of women have intermitant bleeding at different times during their pregnancy and some even have period type bleeding throughout their whole pregnancy.

I was going through anything I might have done. And I'd only just told a friend about it so I was wonderng if I should have been superstious. All I could think was that I hadn't tod my Mum yet (waiting till thursday night when I see her face to face)...

Anyway I wanted to share in case anyone else goes through this type of thing. I'm still a bit worried, will have to keep an eye on it and it it happens more I will have to ring GP to move my scan forward just to be safe.

Anything you say wont make any difference at all. I'm very mildly superstitious but telling people isnt going to jinx it hun.

Its normal hun

At such an early stage it could've even been Implantation bleeding. That normally happens around week 4 there abouts.

Luckily it sounds like it's nothing. Bleeding can be a big scare!

Sorry you had such a scare. It does sound like implentation bleeding though which is good. But like other girls have said, if you're still worried go to A&E or EPU if you have one at your hospital.
