I think I'm freakishly fertile because DH and I conceived the 1st month trying. No real tips besides the usual....no booze, no caffeine, no smoking (which i dont anyways), stay in bed about 15 mins after BD, BD every other day for the entire month and take folic acid. Good luck hun.

My tip is don't concentrate all of your focus on trying to get pregnant!

We were trying for a year, for the first few months we started off just going with the flow and seeing what happened. After a few months with no luck i started using OPKs, then a couple of months later i started charting and using a CBFM. After 1 year with no luck we were referred to a fertility specialist who didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with either of us, but wanted to give me fertility drugs anyway! At this point we decided enough was enough and that everything was just getting too stressful, so we just decided to leave it and come back to TTC in a year or so.

I stopped charting/testing etc and we just got one with life, going out partying and enjoying ourselves, planning our wedding and honeymoon etc. And then what do you know 3 months later - Knocked up!!!

So in total it took us (perfectly healthy couple, late 20s, no problems) 15mths (1 yr TTC and 3 mths not trying!)

Hi.

It took me 7 months, and I was really suprised because I was expecting it to take a lot longer. Everyone is different, but I know 3 months is no time at all, so don't be worrying. Just relax and let it happen. I was stressing every month about doing it and the right time, in the right way etc, and after 6 months I said to my DH, "We'll just relax and enjoy ourselves and after Christmas we can start really being serious with charting ovulation and temps etc" And the next month I was pregnant.

Good luck. xx

took me one month the first time and this time it took us 3 months, thought it was never going to happen!

my tip is bd as much as humanely possible and when you have (as stupid as you may look) make sure you get your legs up against something for a good 10-15 minutes after bd'ing.

i did this the month i concieved but didnt all the other months so seems like it worked for me. i also dont smoke and very rarely drink

good luck! x

Well I am not sure I have tips exactly but I can tell you what happened with us.

We magically conceived in our first month trying. Some of this maybe TMI haha!! Form what I can tell it was one of 3 times that we conceived. I knew roughly when I was ovulating due to CM and stuff but no OPKS or anything as I didn't wanna be just when I got a positive OPK. So we were in the mood and basically every other day around ov. The first time was at my inlaws on their sofa! Hubby on top, just used saliva on each other ha, which I know is not recommended. The second time, we didn't even have foreplay actually, I was "ready" just sucked hubby and jumped on - me on top! The third time was pretty much the same. So basically we did it when we wanted, how we wanted and enjoyed it - relaxed and fun - exactly how I wanted to conceive.

I was worried because both me and hubby are overweight and so I thought we would take ages to conceive. So I really believe that we are so so blessed!! My whole family seem to be very fertile and all I can say is that I guess we must have been extremely good with contraception (mainly condoms) for the past 8 years!!! Oh and I have been off the pill for over 3 years so I don't know if that helped too?

I am not sure if any of that will help! Good luck! xx
