Ladies I apologise for this thread but I'm quite worried.

Is it "common" to bleed and feel very sore after sexual intercourse? It was only very slight bleeding. I'm 12 weeks gone.

Again I apologise but am feeling quite anxious and haven't told my OH about the bleeding.

I think its quite normal - its not from your bubba but more likely from your cervix being sensitive and having increased blood flow. Dont worry Poppet.

I have tried to look for it too...can't find it...

Just looked on internet and found this..
There is no need to worry about your baby being harmed by the penetration of the penis as it is well protected. This protection comes from the Muscular wall of the uterus, from the mucus plug that seals the neck of the uterus, and from the bag of waters.

What kind of bleeding are you having??? What colour? How much?
xx

looking on the net and from reading other girls posts here a while back it's really not uncommon to bleed after sex so try really really hard not to worry too much (its hard though i worry about every little thing)

A friend of mine had really heavy bleeding during her pregnancy and its all worked out fine, lots of girls have some bleeding and of course its natural to think the worst

I don't think we any of us should feel like we cant go to the GP with any worries though and im sure your GP will put your mind at rest if you went to see them? Anything to keep you stress free seems like a good idea to me

It's not uncommon at all. Your cervix is now a mass of tiny blood vessels, and during sex some can break. Your whole vaginal area is now enriched with blood, and that can be the reason for the increased sensitivty. I noticed this as well once I became pregnant.
