Don't think she will use a doppler as the heartbeat is not normally detectable on one until after 12 weeks i believe. She might have a little feel of you tummy, but it wont hurt, she might not, midwives r all different. hope all goes well on monday and dont forget to let us know!!x x x

Hi... i dont think she will use the doppler till after you are 12 weeks... mines didnt get the doppler out till i was 15 weeks in my last pregnancy... Your appointment will probably just filling out forms... she will prob give you a due date and your notes... thats what they do here... and you will probably be weighed... i have my first midwife appointment coming up on wednesday and im dreading being weighed Oh and u will probably get your blood pressure done

Thumbs up

Probably won't do either to be honest as you're uterus won't have grown too much by now - probably size of an orange at best! Also a heart beat won't be audible so a doppler's out too. At 7 weeks + a heartbeat could be detected on an ultrasound but NHS don't usually send you for one that early unless there is a medical reason for it being needed. She'll probably take a blood test and urine test and fill in lots of forms. Oh, and check your blood pressure! Good luck!
