scan showed sac but no yolk is this ok?

i went for my dating scan after thinking i was 6/7 weeks pregnant, the US showed that there was a sac but he could not see a yolk but has said that i am to go back when i am more 10/11 weeks ( he thinks i am only 4 weeks) Is this ok, it is my first pregnancy and i just dont know what is right and what is not good.

When I went for an emergency scan at what I thought was 7w4d they only saw a gestational & yolk sac and put me back to 5 weeks. I had a scan last week and all is good. It just ends up that the month we conceived was the one month I wasn't regular and ovulated really late. Which kind of made sense as I never got a positive OPK but assumed I missed it as I was only testing 1x per day. I also didn't get my BFP until I was 13 days late.

Is it possible that you ovulated later in your cycle that expected?

The same thing happened to me. It turned out I was off on my dates and a week later, everything was there including a heartbeat.

It happened to me. I ovulated and all they could see at the first scan was a sac. I had one the following week and the heart was beating away. XX

thank guys, i am not going back for a scan for another 7/8 weeks, me thinks it will be a long wait!

my us put me back 2 weeks and told me to go back in 2 weeks so they could see heartbeat went back and my dates went forward 2 weeks.... so early on they dont always get it right all the best hun xxx

That is a really long wait! Early scans are good and bad. Good when they go as planned bad when your bean needs a little more time to grow. Happened to me too. I was 6+5 and all they could see was the sac..nothing else. They told me I was going to MC. After another scan at 8+1 there was my baby with a heartbeat! And measuring exactly 8+1. Good luck! xoxo

hye luv im goin through the same thing
i went for my early scan thinkin i was 6weeks 4days when i got my scan they could only see a 4week sack! i wondered was that a bad thing but i havnt had and pain or bleeding mayb i did just get my dates wrong!

anyway i have 2 go back in 10days for another scan 2 c if there is any change!

i hope everything is ok and my wee baby is growing away, all the best for u 2 huni keep me posted!! good luck
